Household services can come off your German income tax.
For cleaning, garden care and other household-related services, § 35a of the German Income Tax Act credits 20 % of the labour costs directly against your income tax. The condition: an invoice and cashless payment — both of which you get through Schwupps anyway.

Short answers.
What does Schwupps cost me?
Nothing. Posting a job, getting offers, chatting — costs nothing, now or later. The platform is funded by the supply side: pros pay to send you an offer.
Why five offers maximum?
Five at most. After that your listing closes and nobody else gets in touch — which is exactly the point: you can compare five offers; you can’t compare thirty phone calls.
Do pros see my address or phone number?
No. Before someone sends an offer, the pro sees neither your exact address nor your phone number — only what needs doing and in which Kiez. That is enough to work out a price and not enough to stand at your door. And we don’t sell your data, to anyone.
What does “vetted pro” mean?
We award the badge by hand — only once we have actually seen the trade registration and ID. Reviews come exclusively from customers who completed a job through Schwupps. None bought, none imported.
Can I pay cash?
We can’t recommend it — with cash you lose the § 35a deduction, a German income-tax rule that credits 20 % of the labour costs, and you have no record if something goes wrong. Bank transfer, card or direct debit all work. This is not tax advice, but that is the rule in the law.
